The list of 2015 world richest footballers is out and if you are looking for a Nigerian footballer on the list it would surely disappoint you.
Nigeria’s richest footballer is currently Mikel Obi and he is not anywhere close to even the 10th richest footballer on this list.

The list is leveraged on the earnings of each player for the year 2014 and includes club earnings and sponsorship deals.

Argentine, Lionel Messi takes the top spot averaging almost £1milion per week with rival Christiano Ronaldo not far behind. The Argentina and Barcelona megastar earned an eye-watering £47.8m in 2014, with his club salary of £26m topped up by lucrative endorsements with the likes of adidas, FIFA 15 and Turkish Airlines.
